延命閣 Enmeikaku
Hoshi
Ryokan has been proud of the elegant separate quarter called Enmeikaku, which
has been used for VIP guests only since the Meiji period.
In the past, only royals and outstanding
figures could stay here.
Admiral
Sukeyuki Ito in Meiji-Era named Enmeikaku.
Ever
since then, Hoshi had the privilege of welcoming Japanese Royal family members
such as Prince Kayanomiya, Prince Mikasanomiya and Princess Takamatsunomiya.
Enmeikaku
has 5 rooms.
Traditional Japanese Toilet is preserved here in
Enmeikaku.
Of
course the western style modern toilet is also available.
Bathroom is also a very traditional classic Japanese
style.
You
can enjoy pure hot spring conducted from the in-house spring source.
This
is the garden of Hoshi connected to Enmeikaku.
The
garden was designed by the famous landscape architect Enshu Kobori in the early
of 17th century.
The foods of local sea and mountains are well-known in Japan.
The privacy of guests is fully protected.Even the sumptuous feast cuisine is delivered by the private waitresses using the underground tunnel from the kitchen in the main building.
